The Adventurmentalism film project aims to represent the psychological and physiological healing powers of nature, specifically Southeast Alaska, in treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). As the FiddleHead founders, we are both survivors of traumatic life experiences which include extensive military combat, suicide survival, and domestic violence survival. We feel compelled to share our unrivaled therapy approach through this film as we both have deep passions for cinema production.
Apart from our personal stories, the film Adventurmentalism hopes to mirror (in cinematic quality) an emotional documentary of living in South East Alaska after fleeing from broken conventional lives in Mequon, Wisconsin and Reno, Nevada. However, the film’s goal is not to focus primarily on the personal aspect of our stories, but rather the clinical evidence and testimony of healing.
Keeping fidelity with our passions and interests, the film builds from several different expedition sports. We have recently finished filming our kayak expedition through the Inside Passage from Haines, AK to Wrangell, AK.
A well-funded production encompassing PTSD therapy and survivor communities will not only capture audiences, but provide eye opening hope for individuals with similar struggles. We hope to speak with your team soon and thank you for your consideration.
